The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) organizes the CLMC, COMC and CJMC. JA hosts the on-site, paper versions listed below. Use the shared registration form to select your contest.
CLMC — Canada Lynx Mathematical Competition
A mathematics competition that encourages students to explore mathematical problem solving. JA registration is for Grades 7–11.
- Contest: October 1, 2026, 3:45–5:15 PM
- JA registration deadline: September 23, 2026 at 12 noon (Pacific time)
- This year’s CLMC has concluded.
COMC — Canadian Open Mathematics Challenge
An opportunity to challenge your mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills. JA accepts registrations from all grades.
- Contest: October 29, 2026, 3:45–6:15 PM
- JA registration deadline: October 20, 2026 at 12 noon (Pacific time)
CJMC — Canada Jay Mathematical Competition
A mathematics competition for students in Grade 8 or below. JA registration is for Kindergarten–Grade 8.
- Contest: November 19, 2026, 3:45–5:15 PM
- JA registration deadline: November 10, 2026 at 12 noon (Pacific time)

- CLMC: CAD $40
- COMC: CAD $50
- CJMC: CAD $40
Fees follow JA’s published fee schedule.
Complete Your Registration
- Complete the JA CMS registration form and select the appropriate contest.
- Send payment in Canadian dollars by e-Transfer to [email protected].
- Within 2 days of completing the form, email the payment reference/screenshot and government-issued photo ID to [email protected], as required by the form.
The form states that contest payments are non-refundable and registrations without the required email documents within 2 days become void. Please review the form carefully before submitting.
